Birch Bee Buzz: A Close Encounter
Shh. I think it is hiding right here behind the white bark. I cannot see it anywhere. Is it really there? Wait. Look at my shoulder. Do you see that tiny movement? Oh! It is so small. It must have landed on you first. It is not on the tree. It is on me. It wants to come closer. That is wonderful. It trusts you completely. You are part of its world now. I feel so calm. It is just resting there, buzzing softly. Let us just watch. No sudden moves. We are very lucky to see this. It is moving up. Carefully. Very carefully towards my face. Wow. It is climbing higher. Do not breathe out too hard. It is tickling my nose. I can feel its little legs. Keep still. It is almost there. This is magic.
