How it works

From a classic book to a daily series.

Every book is written once as episodes. You make them yours.

  1. Step 01

    Pick a book

Public-domain classics, already cut into short episodes in the author’s own words.

  2. Step 02

    Make it yours

Choose the voices, the screen’s shape, the music, a look and your channel name.

  3. Step 03

    Make an episode

Each part becomes a narrated video of about two minutes, made in your browser.

  4. Step 04

    Post one a day

Each part comes with a post kit. Turn on One a day, and each day at the hour you pick, the next part is ready for you to open.

Inside an episode

Made like a serial, part by part.

  • The original pictures

The camera moves across the pictures the book was first printed with.

  • The author’s words

Shortened, never rewritten, and read by a narrator and the characters’ own voices.

  • Episodes that link up

Each part says its number, recaps the last one and ends with what comes next.

  • Subtitles and music

Subtitles with the speaker’s name, and music under every scene.

The first book

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, by Arthur Conan Doyle

The stories of 1891 and 1892, with the pictures from The Strand Magazine. Read the summary and watch the episodes free, with no account.

FAQ

Book series questions, answered plainly.

What is the AI book video series?

It is the Series studio of AIVideo.day, a web app by Lumora Build, in beta. Classic public-domain books are written once as short episodes, in the author’s own words with the pictures they were first printed with, and you make each episode as a narrated video in your own style, to post one a day.

What does it cost?

2 credits for each episode, whatever its length, from the same credits as your other videos, and a whole story as one video costs 2 credits for each of its parts. Making episodes needs a paid plan, and making the same episode the same way again is free.

Can I turn my own book into a series?

No. Every book is prepared once by us: only works that are public domain in the US and worldwide, in their first printed form, with every source listed on the book’s page. You choose how its episodes look and sound.

Which books can I use?

The first is The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle, with the pictures from The Strand Magazine. Every book has a free public page with its summary and its episodes, open to anyone with no account.

How do the episodes link to each other?

Each episode says its part and title, recaps the part before and ends with what comes next and your own end line, such as Follow for part 4. For every part the post kit gives you a title, a description and a comment to pin, and a whole story gets YouTube chapters.

Which languages and screen shapes?

Episodes are narrated in English for now, as vertical 9:16 or wide 16:9 videos. The MP4 is made in your browser, in Chrome or Edge, and a long video needs a computer.
